Dr. Jinkyu Shin is originally from South Korea. He earned his Bachelor’s degree in Neuroscience from Washington State University and his Doctorate in Veterinary Medicine from Tuskegee University. After graduation, he completed an internship at the Veterinary Referral and Emergency Hospital in Texas. Dr. Shin moved to Connecticut to join his wife and has been practicing in the Hartford area before coming to Winslow Park Animal Hospital. He specializes in preventive care, internal medicine, senior pet care, ultrasound imaging, and surgery. Dr. Shin lives in Fairfield with his wife, Eunice, daughters, Gia & Mina, and two cats, Arang & Leo. He likes to play sports and spend time with his family during his free time.
